Tunstall’s Dmitrij O’Shea took his second consecutive win in the North Midlands JJ section. He again scored 13 points with three wins and two seconds and looks very tough to beat this season already. His score was matched by Craig Leonard (Charlemont) who has now had two double points scores. In the run-off O’Shea eased ahead around the first bend and led from then on to take the victory. Another rider with two double figure efforts is Brian Broadbank (Wantage). His 12 points gave him third place and a strong start to the season. Much better efforts this time from Dave Hemus (Aberavon) and John Honey (Rowley) saw them finish with 10 points each. Behind them were two riders who had an up and down meeting in Lee Mcauliffe (Sheffield) and Richie Sampson (Burslem) who both had two wins and three thirds for 9 points each. Damon Duffy (Wolston) was the unlucky rider being withdrawn from the meeting after a heat 16 fall when looking like he could challenge for a podium spot.
